Riley County Police have issued a warning about an online housing scam for rental properties in the area.
The fraudulent ads for homes and apartments in Manhattan have cropped up on online listing sites like Craigslist and Backpages. The ads ask for people to send money directly to the renters, and gives an overseas number.
